For many years, EA SPORTS have led the Football gaming market ahead of rivals PES. What they have done to promote FIFA 19 isn't what you'd call expansive but it tends to work. Throughout the years of FUT (FIFA Ultimate team), they have used the biggest faces of world football to promote the brand. They would feature in videos playing the game or endorsing it. Also, they would invite all of the world largest FIFA content creators to either their headquarters or Berlin, Germany to allow them to play early. They would help create the hype by releasing early videos getting people excited for the much anticipated release.

If i was in charge of promoting the game and the franchise, i would still utilise the use of professional football players in videos but another addition as well. I would get all the sponsored players to play in an online tournament and have them either play in a studio where the game would be broadcast to the social media of EA SPORTS FIFA and also to the account of the players. This would create an awareness of EA SPORTS as the followers of the players would feel almost obliged to purchase the game.

It is estimated that football has around 3.5 billion fans/follower globally. Last year there were around 24 million copies of FIFA 18 sold. That is such a small percentage of people who are targets for the company. Obviously the fans in poor/developing countries can't afford to pay £50, therefore, if i had the ability, i would lower the price of the game to around £5-15 but restrict the functions that it has. It would only feature the kick off and career mode as these features have the least amount of programming and don't need an internet connection. This would not only increase the amount of people aware and purchasing form EA SPORTS but it would improve the PR of the company on the western world. They have been seen as a money hungry company and lowering prices for the reach of developing countries would look good.
