Thinking about marketing techniques used by mainstream movie studios, Black Panther takes first place in connecting with an audience. Using one of, if not the biggest name in Hip-Hop (Kendrick Lamar) MARVEL were finally going to reach another demographic. Kendrick Lamar is not like todays Music artists that mumble and promote violence, he has a way with words that really connect with the Black community. Many people have commented that he is like a father to them in the ways that he teaches them how to live life and how to find a better purpose. Using him to create the soundtrack to this film allowed, for the firs time, black children to like a super-hero movie. The reason being is because there has never been a prominent black MARVEL superhero that kids can aspire to. And because of Lamar's connection to the black youth of Western life, he can communicate that this is a film to watch. The kids can feel a sense of pride an unity in supporting this film as the large majority of the cast are black and the soundtrack creator is black. They can believe in this character an oath to keep supporting this character within the franchise.
